Two Sides of a War
One island, two sides of the story. Two Sides of a War is a video installation that tells the story of the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot perspectives of the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus. The video installation is presented on a corner wall with four projectors, two projectors for the Greek Cypriot side and two for the Turkish Cypriot side. The division and the barrier of the border of the island is contextualised by the corner wall limiting the connection of the two sides. This video provides insight into how Cyprus became one of the last divided countries in the world and the only country with a divided capital.
